Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year from your Shore PTSA!

My name is John P. Morris, and I am your PTSA president for the upcoming school year. This is my second term as Shore’s PTSA president. I was the PTA president at Bellflower Elementary and have been an active member of the Shore PTSA.

Being a PTSA, not only do we invite parents and teachers to be a member of the association, but middle school students are invited to join and be involved as well! The PTA organization is the largest child advocacy organization in the nation, so it is only fitting that students have a say in matters that affect them!

I am lucky to work with a wonderful board this year. Our vice-president is Amanda Alafi, our treasurer is Bridget Sopko, our secretary is Beatrice Loyer Goldberg, our LCC delegate is Betsy Harting and last but not least, our 2nd Vice president is Tommy Dwyer. We are all looking forward to serving the parents, staff and students of Shore Middle School.

Our goal for this year is to get back to the old normal and expand. Many of the activities from the past have been given the green light. Some will be exactly how they were done in the past and others with a slight adjustment while we maintain safety related to COVID. To get these programs and events moving, we need your help. Whether you have 30 minutes or a couple of hours, your time, talents, and ideas are needed. Membership forms were available during the “Walk the schedule” events and if you didn’t get a chance to sign up then, you can still sign up online through Memberhub
https://shoremiddleschool.new.memberhub.store/store or by submitting a hardcopy membership form. Sign up your whole family, and show your support for not only our students, but students nationwide. And remember, ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST BE FINGERPRINTED!

Our first PTSA meeting of the year is Thursday, September 9th at 6:30pm.
