A Message from Lake County Health Commissioner Ron H. Graham

As both Lake County and Ohio continue a phased-reopening plan, is it important to remember that COVID-19 is still present. As of May 14, LCGHD has had 210 of its residents test positive, and sadly, eight have passed away. As testing opportunities gradually increase, it is expected that the number of those testing positive will increase as well. This means it is more important than ever to continue to follow basic safety principles as we begin to move around in our community.

Mentor High School Senior Art Showcase

This showcase is designed to present the portfolios of the Mentor High School Fine Art Department Class of 2020. Seniors initially intended to display their work physically, however, the show could not go on as planned. No one could have have anticipated the abrupt change, but as artists we are trained for approaching change in an innovative way. COVID-19 has forced all seniors to adapt and invent creative solutions to preserve their senior year and do what artists do: solve problems. This showcase presents their individual strengths but together, it portrays a senior show through an online gallery of portfolios and images. While they are not able to shake your hand and introduce themselves, they want to share their awards, artist statements and portfolios of work- the work they have been creating throughout their high school careers.
