The month of May has been busy and full of celebrations for the school year.  Congratulations to our newest NJHS members that were inducted this past Monday.  We are proud of all their hard work and look forward to the positive impact they will make in both the Shore and Mentor Community next year.

Thank you to PTSA that hosted a whole school assembly this past Wednesday to celebrate our students.  Cleveland Guardians mascot Slider and his friends came back to Shore and were welcomed by a gym full of students and staff.  The assembly was an amazing and fun way to learn about being healthy and a good friend to others.  Thank you to our new PTSA president, Nicole Pankuch for all her hard work to make this possible.

Yesterday we held our annual Art Show at Shore.  It was so nice to see so many families in the building as we celebrated the hard work from our students this year.  I was blown away by the various pieces of art work displayed by our students at all grade levels.  Thank you to Mrs. Fiore, Mr. Meyer, Miss Pfeifer, and Mrs. Watson for all their hard work to make this night such a special one for the Shore community.

Our 8th grade party is scheduled for Tuesday, May 28 at Lost Nation Sports Park.  Click HERE to register your 8th grader for the event.  Students must be registered to attend by May 22.  Reach out to the Shore main office with any questions you may have.

Lastly, thank you for your support of the staff and students at Shore this school year.  Our staff stresses daily to students the qualities of being safe, respectful, and responsible.  We appreciate your reiterating of this at home.  While the end of the year is near, there is plenty of time to still make a positive impact on others, work hard in the classroom, and portray the qualities of empathy and kindness towards one another.
