Soccer Information from Coach Skilton

Dear Soccer Players and Families,

I was hoping to have a parent meeting in early April and will do so as soon as we are able to, but with the current state of our country I am reaching out with you this way to share a little about my vision for the soccer program, upcoming events for the soccer team and expectations for the program and the girls. I will continue to send out information as I complete our schedule. Please feel free to email me at [email protected] or call my cell at 440-796-8689, if you have any questions.

My number one vision for the girls is to have a very positive experience playing soccer at MHS, while taking the soccer program to a whole new level of success. This will take a lot of hard work from all of us, coaches, players and parents.

Some of my expectations for the players. If a player is hoping to play at the varsity level, they need to be dedicated to the sport. That would mean playing and training as much as possible. For many that will mean playing club soccer in the winter and spring or playing another sport to stay in shape or just have fun being a part of another program at MHS. Since you are unable to participate in team sporting activities currently, it is up to each of you to be training as much as possible. I have put together a 3day training workout to be completed every other day during the week. You do have the freedom to add exercises based on your available equipment, but the bottom line is you should be training to get better as a player. If you do not know what any of the exercises are you can search them on google or you tube or email or call me with questions. I am attaching this workout as well.

Current Schedule so that you can plan ahead and mark your calendars:
