Students to be away from school buildings for at least three weeks

As you know, we have been constantly following developments surrounding the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) and its impact on our community. Ohio Governor Mike DeWine just announced in a press conference that all schools in the State of Ohio will be closed to students from Tuesday, March 17, 2020 until at least April 3, 2020. He said that the state will continue to review the situation as we go, but families should expect for students to be away from school for at least three weeks.

In Mentor Schools, Spring Break was already planned to begin tomorrow, Friday, March 13, and run through all of next week. That will not change.  We would plan to begin online lessons between teachers and their students the week of March 23, 2020. We will certainly have a lot more information to send about this, but wanted to make you aware of this important announcement as soon as possible.

We will communicate with you again by the end of the day Monday, March 16, 2020.

Thank you for your continued support.
